Fine Scottish cello by Matthew Hardie, Edinburgh ca 1820, possibly with some work by Stirrat.


Two piece back, slab cut, with an irregular figure, ribs similar, the varnish dark orange  over golden brown ground.


Condition good with some restoration in keeping with its age.
