A fine and very rare English tenor violin by Barak Norman and Nathaniel Cross, London 1724, This collaboration showing a little more of the hand of Cross than Barak Norman in the last year of whose life it was made, is a lovely example of the early period of English making.
The two piece back of plain wood. Condition generally excellent with some restoration in keeping with it's age. Varnish of a golden brown colour LOB 632mm. Provenance - letter from W E Hill and sons, London 1924.
