Fine and rare Scottish cello by David Stirrat, Edinburgh Ca 1815(Stirrat was a close associate of Matthew Hardie and many of Hardie's instruments were made by Stirrat).  Two piece back of narrow figure. Varnish of a red/bown colour. Excellent condition LOB 730m. Certificate of David Rattray, London (author of "Violin Making in Scotland 1750-1950).
